Junior & Adult Tennis Coaching:
At Somerton Tennis Club, we offer a dynamic and inclusive coaching programme for both adults and juniors, led by our experienced team: Neil Driver, an LTA Accredited Level 4 Senior Tennis Coach, with additional sessions by Rich Dounglas, an LTA Accredited Level 4 Senior Tennis Coach. Henry Park, an LTA Accredited Level 2 Tennis coach and Performance Tennis Coach at Millfield Prep School, is also part of our Coaching Team who offers sessions during school holidays.

Group Coaching and Cardio sessions are currently £8 for Members and £10 for Non-Members. (Floodlit sessions are £9 and £11.)
Private Lessons with Neil are currently £40 per hour for Members and £43 for Non-Members. Private lessons can be shared by 2 or more people.
Junior Coaching Programme

Our NEW junior coaching programme begins on Friday 9th January 2026!! Ryan Denton of LA Tennis will be running two group coaching sessions during school term times as follows
- 4pm-4.45pm Red Ball Mini Tennis for 4-8 year olds
- 4.45pm-5.30pm Orange/Green Ball for 8-13 year olds
The cost of the 12 week programme is £77.

Adult Coaching Programme
Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or seeking to refine your competitive edge, our adult coaching caters to all levels—from beginners to advanced players. Group sessions and private lessons are available and open to both members and non-members.
Highlights include:
- Cardio Tennis: A high-energy workout combining music, tennis drills, and fitness—no experience necessary, just enthusiasm!
- Walking Tennis: Designed for those with reduced mobility or returning from injury. Play at your own pace with modified rules: no running, jumping, and a double bounce allowed. All the fun, minus the strain.
- Ladies only Coaching: A dedicated one-hour daytime session tailored exclusively for women, providing a supportive and focused environment to build confidence and skills on court
- Private Tennis Coaching: offers a personalised approach to learning and developing your game. With the full attention of your coach, sessions are completely tailored to your individual goals, whether that's mastering the basics, refining technique, improving match play tactics, or returning to the sport after a break.
- Group Coaching: Designed for everyone from complete beginners and returning players to intermediate-advanced. These sessions offer a supportive path to develop skills and confidence at every level.
