Court Maintenance
We have fabulous courts but they need looking after. Please read and adhere to the instructions below, mandatory (not optional) please. Thank you.
- Please leave the courts in the condition in which you would like to find them.
- Wear only approved clothing (specifically no spiked footwear).
- Do not take onto court or use any solvents or chemicals
- Please use all three courts, if only one court needed, please use courts 2/3 to reduce wear and tear on court 1.
- When play has finished drag the courts with the drag net. Start wide of the court and proceed in a zig zag from side line to sideline to drag dispersed clay back onto the court. If you wish, clean the courts after a set.
- Be courteous to fellow members and rotate cleaning responsibility.
Please ensure if you are last off court that you complete drag activity. - Clear all lines with the matchliner roller.
- Always clean your tennis shoes before leaving the court and again before entering the clubhouse.
- Use drag brooms to clear the outsides of the court and replace clay back to the court (ensuring no debris/stones, just clay put back please).
- The nets are now pre-set. Please lower nets after use, but do not change the setting on the net strap. Simply raise or lower the net using the net winder provided.
- During and after league matches the captains should ensure that all team members help with brushing, nets and cleaning courts.
- Please put all equipment back where you found it.
