Teams & Competitions
At Syston Northfields Tennis Club, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive opportunities for players who enjoy matchplay and representing the club.
Whether you’re new to competitive tennis or an experienced league player, we aim to create a supportive, positive environment where players can challenge themselves, develop their game, and feel part of a team.
Adult Teams
We run a number of adult teams competing in local and county leagues, giving players the chance to enjoy regular matchplay, meet new people, and represent the club.
Our teams are built around:
• Fair selection
• Positive team spirit
• Respect and sportsmanship
• Development and enjoyment
If you’re interested in playing for a team but unsure where you might fit, just get in touch—we’re always happy to chat.
Junior Teams & Competitions
We offer a range of junior competitive opportunities for young players who are ready to take the next step.
This includes:
• Junior teams
• Friendly matches
• Local competitions
• Internal matchplay
Our aim is to make competition a positive, confidence-building experience, helping young players learn resilience, teamwork, and self-belief.
Internal Competitions & Club Events
Not all competition has to be formal. We regularly run friendly internal competitions, box leagues, and fun tournaments that give members the chance to play matches in a relaxed and social way.
These are ideal for:
• Players new to competition
• Those returning after a break
• Social players looking for something different
Inclusive & Accessible Competition
We are proud to be an inclusive club and welcome players of all abilities. We aim to make competitive tennis as accessible as possible and will always try to support players who want to get involved.
If you have any specific needs or questions, please contact us—we’ll do our best to help.
