Whitehaven Community Tennis Club - Coaching

We are happy to announce that our coaching will continue where it left off last season, but with a new coach, Olivia Pascoe.

Olivia is one of our regular members and first team player and has completed both her Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certificates over the last 7 months to enable her to offer coaching to juniors and adults going forward. She is LTA accredited, First Aid trained, Safeguard/Welfare trained and also DBS cleared in order for her to fulfil her role at the club. On top of that she has been helping out coaching at Keswick Tennis Club under the instruction of Level 4 and GB International Gary Payton for the last 12 months, so has gained valuable expereince from one of the best in the game which we hope will help her continue with her own career having that support behind her.

Olivia will be dealing with all aspects of coaching, from the initial taking bookings and payments through to organising and taking the coaching sessions herself.

To enquire or book any of our coaching sessions you can contact Olivia directly by either emailing coaching@whitehavenctc.co.uk or contacting her via whatsapp or phone on 07895846770.

JUNIORS - Need to take up membership with the Club in order to enroll on the coaching courses with Olivia. This can be done via our website by going to the Membership page and selecting the junior package and filling in their details, or if you want to be part of the club and play with the child yourself or join in social sessions then you can take out the family membership for up to 2 adults and 2 children- or if only one adult cheaper just paying for 1 adult and 1 or 2 children etc.

ADULTS - Non-members and members can take part in the coaching for the initial 10 week period, if non-members want to contiune then they need to sign up to adult membership with the club. Non-members and members pay different prices and get different benefits, with the main benefits of being a member is being allowed to come to social sessions, book the courts during allocated times for free and also get 50% reduction in court bookings outside of our allocated times too, so we would encourage everyone to take up membership at the beginning., but that is totally up to you.

If you or your child misses a session for whatever reason then it is still included in your 10. If the session is cancelled by the coach, for weather, illness or any other reasons they deem necessary, then that wont be deducted from your session and another date will be added on.

You/your child can join in at any time into the first 10 weeks and the costs will be amended to reflect how many sessions are left, just get in touch with Olivia to sort that out.

After the sessions are finished, there will be the option of more but these maybe done on a week by week basis, depoending on how many are left before the end of the season, but Olivia will clarify all that with you.

In addition to the Junior / Adult coaching sessions above, there is also availability for 1:1, 1:2 basis, just get in touch with Olivia if you are interested and this can be discussed with her.
