About Us
Whether just starting to play or you have been hitting since the Fred Perry era, Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club caters for you. Whatever night of the week, there's always tennis being played at Ingle Pingle in Loughborough. Thanks to our all weather winter dome over 2 courts, you can play tennis whatever the weather, all year round.
Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club was established in 1889 and tennis has been played at Ingle Pingle ever since. The club has grown in popularity in recent years due its reputation as one of the most inclusive clubs in the country and now boasts over 200 active members from beginners through to national level players and Paralympians too! The social scene is also at the heart of the club's recent growth. Click here to see what some of our members say.
“Welcome to Loughborough Lawn Tennis Club. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, tennis is first and foremost about having fun and that's what our club is all about. I look forward to hitting with you on court!” — Martyn Whait, Head Coach
The tennis club enjoys a quiet, secluded location close to both Loughborough town centre and the University. There are 7 courts altogether, 3 of them relatively new artificial clay courts, with 6 of them benefiting from floodlights, meaning that you can play late into the evening. An airdome covers 2 courts in the winter months allowing tennis to be played in all weathers. The clubhouse also has a lounge, function room, kitchen and bar facilities, which are available to all club members and can also be rented for private functions. There is also private on-site parking. View more in the facilties page.
Current exciting activities:
The Leicestershire County Doubles Summer league and over 40s league and National League are all happening now throughout the Summer. Our club has 5 Men's teams and 3 Ladies teams playing. There are home matches played here regularly on weekday evenings or weekend afternoons. The bar may be open for spectators. It is usually very enjoyable evenings for both players and spectators.
Open Day: Saturday 7th June, 2-5pm
LLTC Open Day where junior and adult members of the public are invited to experience playing tennis and the quality of facilities for themselves. The bar will be open, with a variety of hot and cold food available throughout the event. This is a great opportunity to introduce friends and family to a sport that you love.
