Sudbury Tennis Club enters men’s, ladies, mixed and senior teams into the Halstead and District Tennis League in the summer season and mixed teams in the winter league, competing in the local area as far as Dunmow, Wickham Bishops and Lavenham, and other locations in between. Junior matches: Every category of junior tennis, red ball, orange ball, green ball and yellow ball have teams playing in the Halstead junior League and our kids play around Essex in competitive matches.
Summer matches run from mid-late April to late July/early August.
Winter matches run usually every fortnight from late September to mid March.
Match fixtures are always displayed on the notice board and can be found on the Leagues website. Full members interested in playing in league matches should contact the team representatives who can let captains know. Fixtures may have to be postponed due to bad weather – captains are responsible for showing the re-arranged match on Clubspark and notifying the league. Such rearrangements will take precedent over private bookings
Match fees are £3 per person for home matches and £1 for away matches (no concessions). Rules for Halstead and District League matches are displayed on the notice board.
