Tennis Club Car Park

All those who use the Club’s CAR PARK, PLEASE NOTE

  • The parking formation on the Club’s Car Park will be changed with effect from a date to be announced. Please read future Newsletters.
  • As before, Members of the Club and visiting players may park while actually at the Club.
  • In view of the shortage of space, this facility is not open to nonmembers
  • Under the new arrangements, Members and Visiting Players should park only in accordance with the directions below as illustrated by the revised plan.
  • In particular, Members should not use the far end of the car park which is solely for the use of staff of and visitors to the Castle while the Castle is open as shown on the board by the CASTLE ENTRANCE. In particular the spaces indicated as being reserved for the Custodian and disabled drivers should be kept free
  • The driver of each car parked must be identified as mentioned in the directions below.

DIRECTIONS for the use of the Car Park

All members using the Club’s Car Park should please observe the following NEW guidelines when made effective:

1. The first car to arrive each day should park front first at right angles to the fence on the right of the notice to be displayed (leaving a gap of at least 3.5 metres between the car and the Castle fence for access).

2. The second car and those subsequent should then park EITHER a close as reasonably possible beside the previous car OR, IF you recognise any of the cars parked against the fence as belonging to a member with whom you expect to play, immediately behind that car.

3. BEFORE LEAVING your car, you should leave inside it so as to be visible from outside a note of your NAME (suggested template below). This will enable anyone blocked in to contact the driver and will help us to identify those cars which are being parked in our section of the car park by non-members.

PLEASE NOTE that:

A. The car park is available for use ONLY by MEMBERS and VISITING TEAM members while actually at the Club.

B. The Club has use of only one half of the car park – the remainder must be kept free while the Castle is open (as displayed on the Castle’s board near the entrance).

C. Whether or not the Castle is open, the Custodian’s bay and the Disabled Only bay must be left free.

D. If the Club’s section of the car park is FULL and the Castle is open, PLEASE park elsewhere.
