Schools tournament reminder – Wednesday 22nd May

Just a reminder that the primary schools tournaments are using the courts on Wednesday 22nd May 9.30-2.30pm.

Club and Charity Open day June 22nd 12.00-20.00

We are getting ever closer to this event and we are still looking for helpers and volunteers to assist on the day on a variety of events and activities. 

From providing stalls to making teas as well as participation in various tennis events.

Men’s Team Update

A successful week in the second round of matches for the Men’s Teams

Despite dreadful weather the Men’s 2nds had a resounding win on Thursday evening followed by an even stronger 9-0 win for the first team on Friday at home. The standard of tennis is truly excellent and let’s see if we can drum up some more support for their next home game on Friday 24th May.

The third team travelled to the depths of Oakham and had a narrow win with the pairing of Dimitru and Andy winning their tie break to seal the match!

Ashby v Woodlands – LOST on shootout. With the singles being tied 2-2 then the doubles going one each way the match went to a shootout. The shootout singles went 1-1, leaving it down to the doubles. Unfortunately losing 12-10, you don’t get closer than that!
