1. JOINING THE CLUB 

Q. How do I join the club?

A. To get information about how to be a DLTC member please visit our club’s website page: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/DulwichLawnTennisClub/Membership/Join

Q. Can my child join the club?

A. Yes, we do offer junior membership and there is no waiting list for such membership.  Please click here for more information

2. TENNIS LESSONS 

Q. How do I book a tennis lessons?

A. At DLTC, Head Coach Sebastien Blanchon and the team of coaches offer private tennis coaching to adults and children of all levels. To book in private one to one or joint lesson, please click here or contact Head Coach Sebastien Blanchon: sebtenniscoaching@gmail.com

Note about Cancellation:
If you cancel a lesson WITHOUT at least 24 hours notice, you will have to pay for the lesson.  If the coach cancels the lesson due to inclement weather, there will be no charge.  If the coach is prepared to give the lesson as he or she considers the weather conditions are safe, the lesson will be on.  Under these circumstances, if the player chooses not to play, they must pay for the lesson.

Q. Can I book a lesson if I am not a member of DLTC?

A. Yes, but members do receive a slightly lower price.

Q. Can I book a group tennis lesson if I am not a member?

Yes,  group lessons  are open for members and non-members.

Q. How do I book tennis for my child?

A. Yes, you can book private lessons for you junior player and /or alternatively your player can join our tennis programme.

Q. How much do lessons cost?

This varies based on who is your coach, but the guideline is between £40 and £50 for individual and joint lessons. For more informations please see here 

3. BOOKING COURTS 

Q. How do I book a court?

A. To book a court at DLTC, you need to be a club member. Should you have problem to book your courts, please contact  dltcmembership@gmail.com

4. LESSONS CANCELLATION

Q. How do I know if lessons are cancelled due to bad weather?

A. Please assume all lessons are running unless you have been contacted by email by Head Coach Sebastien Blanchon to confirm the class cancellation. Weather forecast is checked regularly and the decision on whether to cancel or not will be taken at least one hour before the class is due to start.

Q. What happens if a lesson is cancelled due to rain?

We will try to offer a make-up class whenever possible.This might not always be possible as most of our classes are fully booked.

5. ABOUT THE VENUE

Q. Do you have parking?

A. Yes, DLTC offers free parking at the club.

Q. Do you have floodlit tennis courts?

A. Yes, have floodlit courts. 

Q. Are there toilets on site?

A. Yes.

Q. Are there shower on site?

A. Yes.

6. TOURNAMENTS AND TEAMS 

Q. Does the club have any teams?

A. Yes, DLTC has Junior teams, 6 Ladies’ team and 9 Men’s team

Q. How do can I join a DLTC team?

Only members can play for the teams. If keen, please contact the ladies or Men’s teams captain (contact to be provided upon request) and they will get you in for a session with other team players to assess your suitability for a team.

Q. Do you organize tournaments and competitions?

A. Yes, we organize multiple tournaments (Internal and external) for adults and junior during the year and we participate in leagues.

7. EQUIPMENT

Q. Do I need my own equipment/tennis racket for lessons?

A. No, we can supply equipment if needed. However, we do recommend players to get their own racket if they play regularly.

Q.  Can I get advice on what equipment is best to buy for myself or my child?

A. Yes, please contact Head Coach Sebastien Blanchon for advice on which racket is more suitable.

8. RESTRING SERVICE

Q. Do you restring rackets?

A. Yes, please contact Head Coach Sebastien for advice on the right type of string and tension that would suit your needs. We also can offer regripping services.
