Emily spent 6 years living in Wichita, Kansas, USA where she played Division 2 Collegiate Tennis for Newman University whilst studying for her degree in business administration.She then completed her Masters degree in Sports Management at Wichita State University. She is an LTA Level 1 Coach as well as being a PTR Level 2 USPTA Elite Professional Coach.

She spent the Summer of 2020 being assistant Coach for Bishop Carroll High school Girls' team in Wichita and they finished a very successful season as state champions.

Summer 2021and 2022 were spent Coaching in Cape Cod and Maine respectively where she gained invaluable experience and knowledge of the game and she has competed for Cumbria at every age group from the under 10's through to the ladies team.

Emily's favourite Tennis player is Novak Djokovic and her career highlights include playing on the number 18 showcourt at Wimbledon during the national Road to Wimbledon finals as well as working at the 2022 US Open in New York where she got to work behind the scenes with players such as Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Jannik Sinner, Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu.
