What is a virtual balloon race? I hear you cry... A Virtual Balloon Race is an environmentally friendly and fun way to raise money! It uses real-time weather data, such as prevailing wind speed and direction and current temperature, to calculate balloon positions and you can see the race unfold on Google Maps!
The balloons are launching from Dracula's Castle in Romania at 12pm on Sunday 31st October!! The race lasts for 7 days and the balloon that travels the furthest is the winner!
All you have to do is:
- Create your own account
- Buy your balloon (or balloons- only £3 each!) and personalise them
That’s it, you are done, your balloon is ready to race! To follow your balloons progress simply login to your account and watch it travel across the globe! We want to get as many balloons in the race as possible (and make as much money for the club as possible!) so please share this link with your friends and family, and ask them to share with their friends and family etc... so they can join in the fun!
