Fundraising for our New Clubhouse

In May 2021, we were awarded planning permission for a new clubhouse — designed to make playing, watching, and socialising around tennis accessible for all. The new space will enable us to offer inclusive tennis play and coaching, including for people with disabilities, and will also feature a function room available for local community use — perfect for smaller gatherings, celebrations, or meetings.

During the cooler months, we plan to host indoor activities such as yoga, stretchercise, and aerobics to support health and wellbeing. Accessibility is at the heart of the project, with both a lift and ramp being installed to ensure wheelchair users and families with pushchairs can enjoy the new facilities with ease.

The environmental impact has also been considered and the new clubhouse will benefit from high-quality but cost-effective materials, which are environmentally friendly, easily maintained and sustainable. The implementation of solar panels will also enable us to reduce our carbon footprint.

We have currently raised over £230,000 through fundraising activities, generous donations from members, local businesses and the wider community, and grants from councils and charitable trusts, which is an incredible achievement!

Work started last year. In February this year, the Structurally Insulated Panels that make up the structure of the new clubhouse were finally installed and work has started on making the new building watertight.

We still need to raise an additional £50,000 to complete Phase 1 of the build, which will give us a usable building.  We also need to raise funds for Phase 2, which includes items such as the Wheelchair Lift, full kitchen fit out and landscaping.

We hope to be able to complete Phase 1 by the end of July.  To help us raise the final £50,000 to complete phase 1: DONATE NOW
