Coaching
We are pleased to announce the appointment of MARTYN BULLINGHAM as Head Coach at Sproughton, Martyn is a LTA Level 3 Accredited Coach - First Aid, DBS, Safeguarding qualified.
Martyn will be developing a new Junior coaching programme with adult group and 1-1 junior/adult coaching at £32/hour. We plan to offer this from March 2026. This will be £7/hour for members reduced to £6 for multiple bookings. Club membership will be £20, which allows juniors to play at other times and helps the Club cover its maintenance costs.
Junior sessions will be on Thursday afternoons with additional coaching opportunities and will be offering holiday camps during the school holidays. The sessions will be split into age/ability dependant groups based on the LTA red, orange, green and standard hard ball categories. See the Juniors page for more details

History; 2015-20 Woodbridge Tennis Club, 2020-21 St Joseph School & indoor Academy, 2021-22 David Lloyd, 2022 - current Head Coach St John’s Tennis Club, 2024 - current Orwell Park School.
Played in Suffolk Summer & Winter leagues up to Div 1 level. Martyn's St John's programme is currently at court capacity with 50+ juniors, including juniors competing in LTA/Tennis Grand Prix tournaments. Martyn introduced Club-branded NIKE clothing range for members.
Martyn will be assisted by TOM BELTON, who is also a LTA Level 3 Accredited Coach - First Aid, DBS, Safeguarding qualified. Tom played tennis since he was 5, within the top 80 UK players at u14, u16 and u18 levels, playing national adult Grade2 tournaments and has been coaching since he was 17 at Ipswich Sports Club.
Tom also offers group and 1-1 coaching at £32/hour and hitting practice only at a discounted rate.
