Suffolk Tennis

Tennis is thriving in Suffolk and it is great to see so much tennis activity at club, league and county level and also in parks. Suffolk LTA supports tennis venues, volunteers, the coaching workforce, players, parents, and those running tennis in parks, schools, colleges/universities. The aim is for more children and adults to play tennis, and to play more often.

In everything we do, we strive to be a transparent organisation, ensuring tennis is accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone who wants to take part in the sport.

Venue Support

LTA Registered Venues in Suffolk are members of Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association, the local arm of the LTA, which exists to support clubs and their members - and everyone else engaged in the tennis world locally. Venues are entitled to vote for the leadership of Suffolk LTA at its AGMs and anyone can volunteer to help SLTA deliver its strategy for Tennis Opened Up, using their skills, time and interests to help the sport of tennis.

Clubs and other LTA registered venues (parks, schools, colleges/universities) are also entitled to to apply for interest free loans to support capital projects within your club from County funds. All LTA registered venues (clubs, parks, schools, colleges/universities) can apply for small grants for projects that stimulate participation in Suffolk; and have practical advice and assistance with the challenges of running tennis organisations as volunteers. Members nominate individuals including coaches, teams, clubs and schools for the annual LTA Awards programme. To ask a question or volunteer, please email Secretary@SuffolkLTA.uk
