The annual LTA Tennis Awards, presented by Lexus, highlight the incredible achievements and contributions of people in tennis across Britain. Initial awards are done on a county basis with winners then going forward to the regional finals and maybe even eventually the national finals
This last twelve months has been massive for our small club with notable highlights including over £70K raised through our grant funding initiative (Project Smash), all of which has been re-invested back into the club to provide:
- Innovative retractable floodlight solution for Court 1
- Brand new state of the art clubhouse with secure storage
- New furniture for living area of the clubhut
- Tennis for Free initiative, to help open tennis up to more people (sponsored by Sport England)
Outside of the grant funding initiative, we have also seen some fantastic successes, including:
- LTA Youth recognised venue status (the first club in Suffolk county to achieve this award)
- LTA Registered Venue status achieved (clubmark standard for tennis clubs)
- GIRLS only tennis programme established (sponsored by Prime Video)
- Junior team kit sponsorship
- LTA Safeguarding audit passed
- Two new member clubnights established
- New club teamwear shop available
Based on the above, we believe that we have a very good story to tell and that it is worth submitting a few nominations in categories including Coach of the Year, Young Person of the Year and Club of the Year. Other categories my also be worthy of consideration (see link below for nomination link and other categories)

WHAT WE NEED NEXT - To stand any chance, especially against the bigger clubs in Suffolk where membership numbers are much larger, we need to try to get as many submissions in as possible. The nomination form is relatively quick to complete and we have provided a few examples form the categories mentioned above.
Note that the cases below are all based on actual nominations that have all been submiited for this year. What we now need is for more people to get behind one or more of these nominations by submitting additional cases based on your own individual experience of the person or organisation you are nominating. So, if you have 10 mins to spare please try to get your nominations in before the closing date of 30th Nov.
