TE4M's unbeaten run continues

On a bright and breezy Sunday, TE4M prepared for their match against Thameside as they always do.

Motivational video from Team Captain Norris – ok, what on earth was that, Phil?

Inspired (if possibly a little intimidated) by a hard-hitting video message the team arrived at the fabulous surroundings of St. Paul’s School and started strongly with convincing wins for Akhilesh Pokhariyal and Tony Voller (6-2 6-0) and Benoit Douguet and Gonzalo Romero Vagni (6-0 6-3).   Although the conditions were tough and our opposition had an array of unorthodox but effective shots, the first rubbers were over in less than an hour.

And so it proved in the second rubbers with both RLTC teams claiming victory within minutes of each other.  Benoit and Gonzalo triumphed against Thameside’s first team with an incredible 6-1 6-0 score line and Akhilesh and Tony wrapped up the tie with a 6-2 6-0 win.

So another impressive win for TE4M who are currently unbeaten in their division with one match to go.

And a message from the team to Captain Phil – can we go back to the old motivation video, you know, the one with Al Pacino?  This latest one was a bit of a hard watch if you know what we mean!!

Team Captain, Phil Norris concludes… "I think the new motivation video was one step too far and I will revert back to the old one.  As great as this emphatic win was for TE4M, it was equally great that team 3 won as well last Sunday.  I was particularly pleased JB played and won on his debut. Our final match is this Saturday, we need to remain focused and carry this winning momentum to the finish!"
