The Ladies Midweek team - Anna Bhandari, Chris Gregory, Ailsa Williams and Agustina Mackinlay - welcomed local rivals Pensford to the club on Tuesday, 20 July.  The weather was hot and sunny and the team was lucky to play on the grass the coolest surface available in all senses!  

And they played very well indeed with our 1st pair of Anna and Chris losing a total of just 4 games in their two rubbers.  Ailsa and Agustina stormed their first set 6:1 then had a brief loss of concentration which allowed Pensford to grab the 2nd set 7:6 before normal service (!) resumed and they won the deciding tie-break and rubber.  

One rubber to play and this time Ailsa and Agustina kept their concentration and polished off Pensford’s 2nd pair with the loss of just 3 games.  

A comprehensive 4:0 win.  Well done team!
