Safeguarding Policy

As part of our commitment to safeguarding best practice, Roundwood has developed a supplementary procedure specifically addressing junior members aged 16–17 attending adult club play sessions without a parent or guardian. This document supplements our main Safeguarding Policy and should be read alongside it. Both documents, along with the required Parental Consent Form, are available to download below.

Supplementary Procedure & Consent Form:

Safeguarding Procedure – Junior Members (16–17) Unaccompanied

Parental Consent Form – Junior Members (16–17)

Junior members aged 14 and over may use the club's courts for independently arranged tennis without a parent or guardian present, provided their parent or guardian is aware of their attendance. In these circumstances, the club's duty of care is limited to the general duty owed to all members using the facilities, and parental responsibility remains with the parent or guardian at all times. This applies to informal court use only and does not extend to club-organised sessions such as club play, for which separate arrangements apply. Please refer to the Supplementary Safeguarding Procedure above for details of the arrangements that apply to junior members aged 16–17 attending adult club play sessions.
