Whether you want to fine tune your match tactics or brush up on the very basics,  we have the right level of coaching for you at Kendal Lawn Tennis Club. As well as standard coaching sessions there are other coach-led playing opportunities too so we hope there'll be plenty of enjoyable and well run tennis for everyone; more tennis and better quality too. 

Our Coaches

Our club coach is LTA coach James Wright.  James leads our main coaching programme. He's a Level 3 LTA coach with years of experience teaching at tennis clubs and in schools. James offers individual coaching, is running regular coaching club nights for us and holds popular group coaching sessions every Sunday afternoon so all of our players can get the best guidance for their level of play.

Erica Ferreira is a Level 2 LTA coach. Her background is in education, she's spent years teaching and nurturing children of primary school age, most recently at Windermere School. She's taken her keen interest in tennis to the next level by qualifying as a coach, specialising at the moment in coaching junior players. She's a qualified umpire and runs Cumbria LTA's competition programme.

Issy Younger is a Level 2 LTA coach. She began her coaching career here at Kendal LTC while completing a level 3 course in Sport at Kendal College and is now working towards her LTA Level 3 certificate. She represents Cumbria in county tennis and assists with coaching junior county teams.
