Winter League
Lorton plays in the West Cumbria Winter League between October and March.
The league adopts an "American Mixed Doubles" format in which the women play two sets of ladies doubles and two sets of mixed doubles with the same male partner. Men, on the other hand, play two sets of men’s doubles and two sets of mixed doubles with the same female partner. This medley format makes for a more sociable atmosphere though play is still competitive. Teams comprise 4 players. This is an open format however and teams may comprise any mix and men and women.
Matches will be played weekday evenings under floodlights at Maryport.
Match fees are £5 per player per match to cover the cost of lights and balls.
