These rules were adopted at the AGM in November 2024
Rules
- A copy of the rules to be available to all members on the club website.
- Membership must be paid before using the facilities and before representing the club in a team match. The facilities may also be used on a ‘Pay and Play’ basis by booking a court via ‘LTA play’ or as part of an organized coaching session (see rule 14)
- Guests are to pay a fee as agreed at the AGM for which the inviting Club Member is responsible. (There is a box for cash payment next to the court entry, the fee is advertised on a notice next to this box and agreed annually at the AGM)
- A Guest can only play at the Club a maximum of three occasions before being requested to join the club.
- Match fees for home and away matches are payable as agreed at the AGM.
- General use of courts outside of Club mornings or evenings should be booked via the booking system on the Club website.
- Courts can be booked by Members up to two weeks in advance. Matches take preference over social play, member court bookings and pay and play bookings, and will normally be booked by the team captain more than 2 weeks in advance. Non members may book the courts on a pay and play basis up to a week in advance.
- During Club mornings and evenings players must mix up, and discretion must be used when arranging the fours in order that all members get some good tennis. Only one short set must be played by each four before remixing.
- On completion of play, Members should return the balls to the tennis pavilion and lock the courts and pavilion
- Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn on court (no shirtless play)
- Ball games must NOT be played in the car park.
- Good manners shall prevail at all times both on and off the court.
- The LTA code of conduct should be followed by all members.
- Court use for professional private coaching must be agreed by the Committee Any coaching of non-members must include a charge for court use at a rate agreed by the committee. The coach is responsible for collecting these court use fees and accounting for them to the Club Treasurer. Court use for coaching should be booked at least a week in advance using the online booking system. Balls must be provided by the coach.
- The floodlights must be turned off by 21:30 except for matches where their use can be extended until the match finishes.
