On behalf of the national LTA, Suffolk LTA organises a junior coaching programme

within the county, with a pathway through to teams at age groups 8&U through to 18&U

who compete in the national County Cups.

Every county has a different arrangement to deliver their junior programme. Three years

ago, following the departure of the Suffolk County Performance Lead, Tennis Growth

Partnership approached SLTA to run the programme and were awarded a three-year

contract as a pilot arrangement. This has proved to be a successful model, however the

contract will come to an end in Summer 2026 and SLTA is currently inviting bids from

individuals or organisations for a new three-year contract. From 2026 onwards the LTA

wants an increased focus on the younger age groups and the tender will reflect this.

Throughout the process, continuity of the programme and the welfare of our junior

participants will be of paramount importance, and updates will appear here.
