My name is Rachael Beard and I am writing to introduce myself as the new Chair at Bramford Tennis Club.
I am taking over from Graham Chappell, who has been in the role for 19 years and who brought the club to the success it is now as LTA Club of the Year. I would like to thank Graham for all his hard work and luckily for me, Graham will be staying on as a committee member.
I was pleased to be asked if I would consider the position, as it is not something I have done before and I love a new challenge. I bring a wealth of experience from working in leadership roles in Human Resources in the NHS. Which is where I still work.
I attended the Clubs AGM on Tuesday 13th May (the minutes are available at BramfordTennisClub/COMMITTEE/MINUTES), and we discussed promoting the opportunities for members to attend and if interested becoming involved. A survey will shortly be sent out asking how we can continue to improve club facilities, please take the time to complete this.
We would also like to ensure that all members are aware that the Club runs a ladies coaching session on Tuesday nights 6.30 - 7.30pm (this does have an additional cost, currently £5 for members). More information on all coach led activities can be found at CarlDouglasCoaching
The Club also runs free Adult Club Nights on Tuesday at 7.30pm and Friday at 7.30pm. More information can be found at BramfordTennisClub/PLAY. To ensure that members get the most from these session we will be asking if anyone would be interested in facilitating and supporting these sessions. More information will be available shortly.
Lastly, a reminder that the membership renewals will be going out for the new season so I hope you will all be joining us again.
I hope I can bring a different set of skills to the committee and as team we will continue to take the club forward for our members.
