LTA YOUTH RECOGNISED VENUE

Bramford Tennis Club, a small three court community tennis club in Suffolk has recently been recognised by the LTA for the excellence of its junior tennis programme. The club, working hand in hand with Head Coach Carl Douglas was presented with the award on Saturday 15th July 2023 and is currently one of only six clubs in the country to have met all the criteria and achieved LTA Youth Recognised Venue status.

Scott Lloyd, LTA CEO congratulated Carl and the Club saying “LTA Youth is a new and innovative junior programme created to help more children enjoy the benefits of playing and staying in tennis, whatever their age, gender, ability, impairment or background. LTA Youth Recognised Venues are committed to delivering an excellent junior programme that offers both high quality coaching and regular competitive opportunities for young players. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to introducing more children to tennis and keeping them in our sport. With your support we are continuing to open tennis up to anyone. Your LTA Youth programme is a credit to both the LTA and tennis in Britain and you should be proud of achieving this status.”

About us...

We are a small community village club with access to 3 all-weather hardcourts in excellent condition (2 of our courts are also floodlit). We pride ourselves on being a friendly and sociable club but for the more competitive players we also run teams in the Ipswich and District leagues and a comprehensive and award winning coaching programme for all ages from 4 upwards. Our club is an LTA Registered venue, demonstrating that we meet all the safeguarding standards set by the LTA. Here are some of our key features:

Membership: We have a range of attractive membership packages available so why not join us now and get involved in the fantastic sport of tennis. Tennis is a sport for life and one that can be played at any age so if you are interested in giving tennis a go please get in touch.

Pay & Play: For players who just want to try our facilities out before deciding to join or for those that play on a very occasional basis, we offer an off peak (8am-4pm) pay & play facility (small court hire fee) on one of our courts on Mondays and Thursdays.

Coaching: We run a comprehensive, award winning coaching programme for adults and juniors including 1:1 and group sessions. All coaching at the club is delivered via our LTA Accredited + Coach, Carl Douglas. For details visit CarlDouglasCoaching or message Coach Carl directly on 07553 966380

Teams: We run a number of men's and ladies teams in the Ipswich and District League. If you have some playing experience and are interested in playing for one of our teams get in touch and we can direct your inquiry to the relevant team captain .

Clubnight: Regular adult clubnights run on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm. These are FREE to adult members but note that clubnights are predominently aimed at people with some playing ability, they are not coaching sessions so those new to tennis or returning after a long break may benefit from attending some coaching sessions in the first instance.
